Roles & Responsibilities:

Perform general database administration and maintenance.
Develop processes for ensuring database security.
Performance tuning of database systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
Create automation for repeating database tasks.
Perform query optimization tasks.
Develop complex MS SQL Server scripts and perform database archiving tasks based on customers’ unique requirements.
Perform Oracle to SQL migrations and vice versa.
Perform database schema comparisons, comparing a reference schema to actual in-use schemas.
Collaborate with Development, Product Management, and QA teams to resolve database issues affecting application modules.
Communicate effectively with management.
Develop good working relationships with internal teams.

Job Requirements:

3+ years of experience working in a DBA capacity.
Advanced command of SQL and Oracle server tools.
Advanced knowledge of database security, backup, recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
Experience using tools such as TOAD, SQL Developer.
Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking to resolve issues.
Positive, proactive, take charge attitude and attention to detail.
Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines for multiple, concurrent projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PowerShell experience for SQL Server and Azure is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
